This project was designed to test our illustration skills. With a limited colour palette to allow the use of a screen printing process, this retro cartoon poster illustration is based loosely around the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
It was a joy to work on this and the illustration became a real labour of love. This chaotic scene was illustrated using influences from classics cartoons, surf and skate art, as well as rock art posters. We aged the final image to give a small ‘nod’ to the inspirations behind this.
The aim here was to design a poster that people would want to pin up on there wall, as a piece of artwork in its own right – I hope we have achieved this.
